KARAKTERISTIK SPASIOTEMPORAL ANGIN KENCANG DI PULAU SULAWESI BERBASIS MODEL REANALISIS ERA5

Abstrak

The spatiotemporal pattern of wind gusts over Sulawesi Island was explored in this paper using ERA5 reanalysis for the period 1979-2020. The methods used were rotated empirical orthogonal function (REOF) and Fourier harmonics. The results obtained were that the highest frequency and magnitude of wind speed were in South Sulawesi and parts of Southeast Sulawesi with peaks in August and January, the other dominant pattern were in North Sulawesi and Gorontalo with the same peak pattern, namely August and January and in the central mountains of Sulawesi with a peak in January.
