This issue comprises eight articles authored by 37 contributors affiliated with a diverse set of national and international institutions across Indonesia, the United States, Japan, Saudi Arabia, the Philippines, the United Kingdom, China, Qatar, Cambodia, the Republic of Korea, and New Zealand, including universities, national statistical offices, and research and policy institutions. The articles address diverse methodological and applied topics in statistics and data science, including fuzzy geographically weighted clustering for identifying air pollution vulnerability, Bayesian distributional modeling in MultiBUGS, small area estimation for out-of-school children with disabilities, spatial analysis of food security and its institutional determinants, fuzzy time series forecasting for agricultural economic indicators, satellite imagery–based classification of coastal abrasion, geospatial big data approaches to estimating regional economic activity, and the integration of multi-criteria decision analysis with machine learning for fine-scale mapping of access to safe drinking water.
